Thursday, March 1 - Grand Opening of Special Collections

February 27, 2018

The HSU Library invites the campus and community to attend the Grand Opening of the new space for Special Collections. Please join us this Thursday, March 1 from 3pm-5pm, on the third floor of the Library. This renovation would not be possible without the help of many Library donors and supporters. Thank you! Guest speakers, interactive presentations, guided tours, and other activities will mark the launch of this new space. Refreshments and food will be served. All are welcome.

In 1976 the original Humboldt Room opened in Library, collecting and preserving local and university history for research and scholarship. Teaching and learning has always been core to its mission. Today's Special Collections has expanded to advance curating digital websites, photo and map scanning, Library Scholar Internships, HSU Press, the Digital Media Lab, and more.
