Want to learn more about the challenges and triumphs of our first-year students during their first weeks of college—and how it relates to their later performance and retention? 

Please join Dr. Lisa Castellino, Associate Vice President for the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, and Angela Rich, Research Associate in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, when they present findings from the past five years of our annual fall survey of first-year students. Managed through our early-alert system, MapWorks, this survey provides valuable insight into the experiences of our first-year students.

This action-oriented presentation aims to demonstrate opportunities for our campus community to collectively work to close opportunity and access gaps, increase retention, and ensure that students succeed at HSU.

The presentation will be held in Goodwin Forum (NHE 102) from 9:30 to 11:30am on Friday, February 16th, 2018.
