In Spring 2013, you told us in a campus-wide survey that accessing the data and reports you need to do your job was not as easy as it should be.  The following challenges emerged as the most widespread:

• Data exists in multiple silos and “shadow systems”, making it hard to locate
• Employees need training and assistance in matching needs to available data
• Terminology used to describe data is not consistent, risking confusion and misunderstanding

The Data Warehouse Leadership Team has been working diligently to address these issues, and here’s where we are now:

• A listing available reports can now be accessed through a single page: http://www.humboldt.edu/data/ ; reports can also be requested here
• Specific individuals have been trained as data warehouse experts to assist employees in accessing the data they need, as well as creating new reports and dashboards
• A new report request form has been developed to simplify the process for employees looking to identify new report needs

Our goal has been, and continues to be as we develop new reports, to enable you to get the information you need, when you need it, as quickly and painlessly as possible.  The Data Warehouse Leadership Team’s purpose and priorities are described in more detail here.
