CHROME BROWSER CHANGES COMING TONIGHT
September 2, 2015
Effective this evening, September 2, the Chrome browser will no longer support a number of commonly used plugins, including Adobe Acrobat (PDF), Java, and Silverlight. If you're a Chrome user, this means that, starting tomorrow, you’ll need to do a few things a little differently, including:
- PDF files will no longer open automatically in the Chrome browser, but you’ll find a workaround at this link https://www.humboldt.edu/its/pdf-files-chrome.
- Nolij and other web applications that use Java will need to be accessed using a different browser; Firefox is recommended for Nolij
- myApps and other web applications that use Silverlight will need to be accessed using a different browser

If you encounter other HSU web applications that no longer work as expected with Chrome, please try a different browser before contacting the Help Desk.
