Welcome to Cybersecurity Awareness Month!
Each October, the cybersecurity community comes together to promote safer information technology related habits. Cal Poly Humboldt is joining the California State University (CSU) Chancellor’s Office and campuses across the CSU to strengthen our shared culture of cybersecurity awareness, responsibility, and vigilance.
This year, the Cal Poly Humboldt ITS Security Team has prepared virtual training and in-person activities to help you recognize phishing, resist social engineering, and strengthen your everyday cybersecurity practices.
Beginning Monday, October 5, 2026, you will receive your first virtual training invitation through our ZenGuide platform. The invitation will come from security@humboldt.edu and will contain a link to the training. Follow the link and select the “SSO” button when prompted to sign in using Single Sign-On.
Throughout October, we encourage you to participate in the optional trainings and events and take a few minutes to strengthen the habits that help protect your information and our campus community.
Visit the Cal Poly Humboldt Cybersecurity Awareness Month website for the latest training information, events, activities, and resources. You can also explore Cybersecurity Awareness Month activities and resources from across the CSU through the Chancellor’s Office Cybersecurity Awareness Month website.
