Unit 11 Academic Student Employee General Salary Increase
Academic Student Employees (Unit 11) who were active on or after July 1, 2013 are eligible for the following salary increases for fiscal year 2013/2014:
- A 1.34% General Salary Increase (GSI), applicable to all Teaching Associate (TA) and Graduate Assistant (GA) classifications;
- An increase of 5% to the salary range minimums for all TA and GA classifications;
- An increase of $1 per hour to the minimum and maximum hourly salary rates for all ISA classifications; and
- An increase of 5% to the salary range maximums for all TA classifications and the academic year GA classifications and a 31.25% increase to the salary range maximums for the Monthly GA and On-Campus Work-Study GA classifications.
All salary increases and changes to salary scales are retroactive to July 1, 2013.
Applicable salary increases were included in student employees’ February payroll warrants (issued on or around March 1, 2014 for TAs and GAs and March 15, 2014 for ISAs). Separate payroll warrants are being issued for retroactive payments.
If you receive direct deposit warrants, you will receive your retroactive payment through a direct deposit. If you receive paper warrants, your retroactive payment will be available for pick up at the Cashier’s Office.
Please note that the State Controller’s Office has not yet issued all retroactive payments; the Payroll Office will attempt to notify employees who receive paper warrants when the retroactive pay warrants are available for pick up.
