It is with mixed emotions that we share with the campus community that Amber Blakeslee will be departing the University. We are excited for Amber to embark on her next adventure and also sad to see her go. She will be missed greatly by our campus community.

Amber has accepted a position at UC Santa Cruz as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Budget Analysis and Planning. Her last day on campus will be June 4th.

Amber joined the Cal Poly Humboldt family back in 2008 and has held several budget and finance related roles on campus, most recently as the Executive Director of Budget and Financial Planning. During her time here, Amber successfully led Cal Poly Humboldt through significant budget challenges and successes, ranging from navigating several years of significant budget reductions to leading financial planning efforts associated with our polytechnic transformation. Amber played a key role on a number of campus committees and groups focused on budget planning, reserve planning, capital financial planning, strategic planning, campus physical planning, accreditation, student fees, and inclusive student success.
