Temporary Power Shut Down For Select Buildings
Facilities Management has scheduled temporary power shutdowns on Friday, December 9th. Electric service to the following buildings will have a brief 20 minute power interruption within the periods listed below:
- 6am - 7am: Behavioral & Social Sciences
- 6:30:am-7:30am Schatz Energy Research
- 7am-8am: Balabanis, Bret Harte, Wagner & Telonicher Houses
Our electricians will be performing transformer maintenance and inspection as part of preventative maintenance measures. All normal electric systems will be off during this period including lights and outlets. All emergency and backup electrical systems will remain functional.
Occupants can expect the building to be cooler than usual in the morning due to the heating systems being shut down during the maintenance period. It is recommended that any sensitive electronics be turned off the night before as a precautionary measure.
