Spring 2014 ITS Project Prioritization Results
The ITS Project Prioritization cycle for Spring 2014 is now complete and the results have been communicated to the proposers. A total of 10 project proposals were received in this cycle, of which eight have been recommended to, and approved by, the Vice Presidents. Each proposal was reviewed and scored using the rubric developed specifically for this purpose and staff resource requirements were assessed by ITS in order to determine the final selection.
Details of the approved projects and their proposed schedules can be found on the ITS website at http://www.humboldt.edu/its/po-prioritization#prioritization_results, along with a graph showing the scores and rankings for all submitted proposals. The detailed scoring for each project can be viewed by clicking on the appropriate project name at http://www.humboldt.edu/its/projects/all.
In keeping with the University's growing emphasis on process improvement, the project office has identified process improvement components in several projects and allocated resources to these components before moving forward with the broader project implementation.
The two projects not approved for immediate implementation are being revisited in the context of other campus or CSU system-wide technology developments.
If you have any ideas for IT-related improvements, regardless of whether those ideas are (yet) ready to be submitted as project requests, please feel free to discuss those ideas with the ITS Project Office at any time - contact the office at itspo@humboldt.edu or at extension 5080.
The next call for project proposals will be issued in September 2014.
