Space Requests Status and Updated Space Process Guide

April 27, 2021
Space Requests:

The University Space and Facilities Advisory Committee (USFAC) has reviewed the active space requests associated with the Academic Year 2020/2021 Space Call, and previous space requests from Spring 2020 and Fall 2019 that did not previously receive a space allocation. On March 26th, the USFAC voted on these fifteen space requests, and provided recommendations to the University Resources Planning Committee (URPC) for space allocations. The minutes are available on the USFAC website, and can be found here

The URPC approved the USFAC’s allocation recommendations on April 16th. The next steps to finalize the USFAC space allocation recommendations include Senate review on April 26th, and then the President’s office will review and finalize the space allocations in early May 2021.

If you have an active space request, a member of the USFAC will be contacting you soon, if they have not already.

Space Policy Process Guide:

The USFAC recently updated the Space Policy Implementation Plan, now titled the Space Policy Process Guide, which can be found here. This document provides guidance relative to implementing the Space Management Policy, and is a resource to be used campus-wide. It can also be found on the USFAC website.
