Softball Improves to No. 3 in Latest NFCA Top 25 Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Humboldt State softball went 7-1 last week and moved up to No. 3 in Wednesday’s National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 poll.

The Lumberjacks picked up three wins against No. 23 Chico State and swept a home series with Cal State San Bernardino last week. HSU is 20-2-1 overall and 15-1 in California Collegiate Athletic Association play.

HSU is off to its best start since the 2007 season and has its highest national ranking since the second week of the 2014 campaign when it ranked No. 1.

The Jacks travel to Carson, Calif., to face Cal State Dominguez Hills in a four-game series beginning Friday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
