Humboldt State Department of Athletics Announces Hall of Fame Class of 2019

ARCATA, Calif.---   The Department of Athletics at Humboldt State University has announced the Hall of Fame Class of 2019.  This year’s class includes the 1993-94 Women’s Basketball Team, the 1994 Softball Team, the 2003-04 Men’s Basketball Team and the 2004 Rowing Team.  The six individuals to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this February are Chyna Balonick (rowing, 2009-12), Jack Harris (swimming, 1969-71), Mike Karges (wrestling, 1975-77), Katie Lepley (rowing, 2009-12), Jessica Padilla (softball, 2004-06) and Mike Proulx (football, 2008-11).  This year’s Humboldt State Athletics Hall

Lumberjacks Look To Continue Winning Ways This Weekend at CPP & CSUMB

ARCATA, Calif..--- The Humboldt State Lumberjacks will begin the month of December with a pair of conference games on the road. The Lumberjacks will be in Pomona, Calif., this Thursday, December 5 for a 5:30pm scheduled tip-off with Cal Poly Pomona. They will travel to Seaside, Calif., this Saturday, December 7 for a 1pm scheduled contest with Cal State Monterey Bay. HSU is off to its best start since 2014-15 as the Lumberjacks are 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the CCAA.

Twenty-Two Jacks Named to CCAA Spring All-Academic Team

Twenty-two Humboldt State student-athletes were named to the California Collegiate Athletic Association Spring All-Academic Team which was released Wednesday by the conference office.

To be eligible for CCAA Spring All-Academic recognition, honorees shall be in their sophomore season of athletic standing and have a 3.3 cumulative GPA or better while competing in a conference sponsored sport in that season. The 22 Lumberjacks join a total of 349 men and women from across the CCAA's 13 member institutions who have been honored for their efforts in the classroom. 

Eight Lumberjacks Named to CCAA Winter All-Academic Team

The California Collegiate Athletic Association recognized the outstanding scholastic accomplishments of eight Humboldt State basketball players as they were named to the conference's Winter All-Academic Team Tuesday.

Lumberjacks Celebrate Second Annual Awards Night

ARCATA, Calif. - The Humboldt State Lumberjacks gathered in the Great Hall Monday evening to celebrate the accomplishments of student-athletes and teams and to recognize the department's outstanding service, scholarship and character awards.

First 200 Students Get in FREE to Tuesday Tournament Game

ARCATA, Calif. - The Humboldt State Athletic Department announced that the first 200 HSU students in attendance at Tuesday's CCAA Tournament home game will receive free admission. Students must show a valid campus ID.

Tuesday's game versus Cal State East Bay will tip off at 7 p.m. and the doors will open at 6 p.m.

HSU Athletics to Host Coach Frank Cheek Lifetime Appreciation Event

HSU Athletics Offers Federal Employees Free Tickets

ARCATA, Calif. – The Humboldt State Athletic Department is offering two free general admission tickets to all federal government employees for the upcoming basketball homestand on January 24 and 26.

“We are excited to offer these complimentary tickets to area federal government employees,” said HSU Athletic Director Duncan Robins. “They support our University, department, and community in so many different ways, and it is our pleasure to give back.”
