A Road Not Taken: Film Screening + Panel Discussion

November 18, 2025

Join us for an enlightening film screening followed by a discussion with local energy and policy experts!

In 1979, President Jimmy Carter installed solar panels on the White House, which were subsequently removed during the Reagan presidency. A Road Not Taken goes back in time to the global oil crisis in the 1970's and traces the fate of these solar panels. With interviews of key players, this documentary centers Carter’s solar installation as a critical prelude to our own era.
