Review of Active Space Requests & New Call for Spring 2020

The University Space & Facilities Advisory Committee (USFAC) has reviewed all active space requests received Fall 2019. Results from this review may be found on the USFAC website listing active space requests. Requesters of approved proposals should submit a work request to Facilities Management to begin planning the occupation of newly allocated space. Once the work request is submitted, specific timelines will be determined. Be sure to use the phrase “Fall 2019 Space Allocation” in your work request submission.


The USFAC will begin the Spring 2020 review of active space requests that have been submitted via the Campus "Space Request Form" later this semester. This form may be filled out by any department, organization, or college, and submitted anytime throughout the year. Requests will be reviewed and matched with available open space, similar to the process just completed for Fall 2019 requests. 


All space requests submitted prior to 5:00 PM 3/9/20 will be forwarded for College/MBU review this semester. All department-applicants are strongly encouraged to work with their College or MBU when filling out the form. Space requests recommended by the College or MBUs for USFAC review will be added to the active space request page on the USFAC website. New space allocations will be announced by portal message early Fall Semester, 2020. Any request submitted after the 3/9/20 review date will be considered in the next semester’s review process.
