Reminder that there will be an electrical power shut down to Jolly Giant Commons, Cypress Hall, and the entire Canyon Complex (Chinquapin, Alder, Cedar, Hemlock, Madrone, Maple, Tan Oak, and Pepperwood) beginning Friday, May 22, 2026. These buildings will be closed to the public, students, faculty, and staff during this time.

Emergency power will be provided to the affected buildings by portable generators. Power will be restored to all buildings by 5 PM on Sunday, May 31, 2026. Buildings will reopen on Monday, June 1, 2026.

JGC Staff: Please coordinate with your supervisor to ensure you have the resources needed to maintain productivity and continuity of work during building closure.
