Please join us this Thursday, Sept. 1st from 4-7 p.m. on the Arcata Plaza for Cal Poly Humboldt College Colors Day. Rock your green and gold, bring your families, and join students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members as we celebrate our new Cal Poly Humboldt branding and enjoy some time together as a Lumberjack community! An expansion of the campus picnic and in alignment with National College Colors Day, this event will highlight our new Cal Poly Humboldt branding and include food, music, games, giveaways, and more!

Branding Update

With extensive feedback and collaboration from stakeholders on and off campus and the support of our polytechnic branding partner, SimpsonScarborough, we are in the final stages of solidifying our new Cal Poly Humboldt brand. At College Colors Day, attendees will get a sneak peek of the logo, with giveaways and signage featuring some of these new elements.

Getting There

As parking around the Plaza will be limited, we encourage you to walk or bike to this event, if possible. Buses that seat 26 people will shuttle attendees approximately every 15 minutes. Starting at 4 p.m., a bus will leave the G15 lot on 14th and Union and drop off at 10th and H Streets, a block off the Plaza. Return shuttles will run in the opposite direction with the last bus leaving the Plaza at 7 p.m. Please note, walking or biking may be your quickest option and we encourage you to carpool if you do decide to drive!

Support of Plaza Businesses

Due to preparations for an event of this size, the streets around the Plaza will be closed most of the day on Sept. 1. As you can imagine, this will have an impact on the businesses in this area, and we encourage you to support these local shops if you can.
