Dear students and colleagues:

I am pleased to announce that Professor Jayne McGuire, Department of Recreation Administration, will join University Ombudsperson Professor Marlon Sherman in serving the campus as Interim Ombudsperson during the fall 2018 semester. Professor Suzanne Pasztor will be on sabbatical during the fall semester, and will continue serving as Ombudsperson upon her return in January 2019.

The University Ombudspersons provide confidential, informal mediation and conflict resolution services, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to the University community. They work with students, faculty, and staff, with a primary focus on student concerns.

The Ombudspersons serve as a resource to promote a positive campus climate and environment by facilitating problem resolution through listening, providing information, making referrals to other campus resources, and identifying options and alternatives.
