We are pleased to share that, in accordance with the updated CSU Contracts & Procurement Policy, the competitive bid threshold has been increased from $50,000 to $100,000. This change is designed to streamline the procurement process, reduce administrative workload, and allow departments greater flexibility in making timely purchases.

While formal competitive bidding is now required for purchases over $100,000, departments should continue to follow sound business practices and obtain multiple quotes whenever practical to ensure best value and transparency.
