Open Forums: Dean, College of Natural Resources & Sciences

May 3, 2021

The search committee and Provost Jenn Capps reminds you of the opportunity to attend Open Forums for each of the three candidates (CV’s attached) for the position of CNRS Dean.

Reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and serving as a member of the Provost's Leadership Team, the Dean of the College of Natural Resources and Sciences (CNRS) is its senior administrative officer and provides strategic direction, vision, and leadership for its academic departments and programs. The dean promotes excellence in curricula, teaching and learning, academic advising, scholarship and creative activities, international, regional, and interdisciplinary initiatives, professional development, staffing and the stewardship of physical resources. The dean serves as a strong advocate for the College, both within the University and with external businesses, indigenous, civic and academic communities.

Each candidate was asked to create a 20-minute presentation on the following:

“What is your vision for CNRS in the national context of higher education? How would you strategically build our capacity and strengths, take advantage of new opportunities, and mitigate some of our challenges?”

Afterwards there will be time for Q&A.
