Dear Campus Community,

The search committee and Associate Vice President and Campus Diversity Officer invite you to attend Open Forums for each of the four candidates for the position of Campus and Community Development Diversity Training Specialist in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI).

Reporting to the Associate Vice President & Campus Diversity Officer, the Campus and Community Development & Diversity Training Specialist will facilitate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) professional development and programming to support the newly renamed campus-California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, and the campus community. They will support university-community partnerships such as equity arcata by helping to strengthen efforts to create inclusive, safe, and welcoming environments in the Humboldt County community.

Each candidate was asked to create a 20-minute presentation on the following prompt:
"Strategies for increasing professional development efforts that support the six pillars of inclusive excellence within Cal Poly Humboldt and the greater Humboldt County community."

• (1) A safe and welcoming community; (2) Equitable opportunities and outcomes; (3) Strategic partnerships; (4) Intercultural competence and cultural humility development; (5) Organizational resources; and 6) Collaborative leadership and shared accountability.
• Due to the time limit, please address any 3 pillars.

The remaining portion of the Open Forum will be reserved for Q&A with the candidate. If you plan to attend more than one forum please come prepared to ask the same question of each candidate. We want to ensure that the process is equitable for all candidates.
