Open Enrollment Ends Friday, Oct. 13

October 12, 2023

The CSU annual Open Enrollment period for 2023 is  September 18, 2023 through October 13, 2023. Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to review and update your current benefits for the 2024 calendar year. You can enroll, change, or cancel CalPERS health, dental, vision or Flexcash plans, enroll for the first time or re-enroll in Dependent Care Reimbursement (DCRA), Health Care Reimbursement (HCRA) or voluntary benefit plans. The effective date for all changes/enrollments made during the Open Enrollment period will be January 1, 2024.

HOW TO MAKE CHANGES:

Log into MyHumboldt, and click the Open Enrollment: September 18 – October 13 buttonClick the ‘Select’ button next to your name and follow the prompts to make changes.   Please see our Open Enrollment eBenefits Guide for more information on how to make open enrollment changes in eBenefits.  Please note, if you are considering changing health plans, double check with your providers that they are in-network and will be able to accept the plan of your choice.

***If you aren’t making any changes to your current health, dental, vision or voluntary plans, you do not need to do anything during Open Enrollment. Your plans will automatically continue for the upcoming plan year (excluding any HCRA/DCRA elections – you will need to re-enroll for 2024 if you wish to have continued deductions).

WHAT’S NEW?

Legal Insurance Coverage: Effective January 1, 2024 voluntary legal insurance benefits will now be provided by ARAG®. You’ll receive greater legal protection with no loss in coverage at a lower price. ARAG offers you access to local network attorneys who can help you address life’s legal situations.  Plus, network attorney fees are 100% paid in full for most covered matters. ARAG legal plan coverage can only be enrolled in during Open Enrollment.  Visit the website for more information and enrollment.

Health, Dental and Vision: Plan options and level of coverage will mostly remain the same for 2024, with the addition of Blue Shield Access + EPO California expanding coverage for Del Norte County residents. •  HCRA: $3,050 maximum annual contribution ($20/month minimum, $254.16/month maximum)
