For 2020, the premiums for many plans will be increasing.  Please carefully review the 2020 Health Premium Rate Sheet.  The level of coverage for both Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans, benefits and network providers in Humboldt County are the same, and are facilitated through the Independent Practice Association (IPA) in Eureka; the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans are administered directly by Anthem Blue Cross.

A Few Notable Changes:

  • Pet Insurance through Nationwide for your dogs, cats, small mammals and certain exotic animals.  Click here for more information and how to enroll.
  • The Critical Illness Plan through Aflac will no longer be available January 1, 2020.  Those enrolled will have coverage through December 31, 2019, and have the option to continue with Aflac by paying the premiums directly to the vendor.  The Standard Life Insurance Company will offer an Accident Insurance Plan, with a special enrollment period in early 2020 – more info coming soon!
