Facilities Management would like to notify the campus of a planned electrical power outage scheduled for:

Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00 p.m. through Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m.

This outage is necessary to support electrical infrastructure work and will affect most campus facilities. Emergency generators will be operating in designated areas to maintain building functions and ensure critical research, laboratory, or departmental equipment has appropriate backup.Generator power will also be supplied to all dorms with residence.

What you should do before leaving campus:

• Save your work and shut down computers and other electronic devices.

• Power down and, where practical, unplug sensitive equipment to help protect against power fluctuations when service is restored.

• Plan for possible interruptions to network connectivity, Wi-Fi, telephones, printers, card access systems, and other electrically powered services.

While every effort will be made to restore power by 4:00 a.m., unforeseen circumstances could affect the schedule. Updates will be provided if necessary. 

Facilities Management personnel will be onsite throughout the outage to support the shutdown and restoration process.
