NEW Update About the CHRS Recruiting Project Powered by PageUp: Rolling out the Temporary Faculty Pool

The next exciting phase of this project is the rollout of the Temporary Faculty Pool using CHRS Recruiting.  The new system will have benefits for applicants, and for hiring departments.  Applicants will have easy electronic access to their past application materials and can use them to apply to multiple positions. For management of the Temporary Faculty Pool, departments will have access to their applicants and have a space to make notes.  Background checks will also be automatically ordered for candidates hired using the CHRS Recruiting workflow.

Unique to the Temp Pool process, reference checks will be automated within PageUp, pulling professional references from the candidate’s application materials directly, and emailing them a standard set of questions.  This takes the communication burden off department chairs and faculty while ensuring that this important part of the background check is completed.

Before go-live, Academic Personnel Services will provide step-by-step user guides to all Department Chairs and Administrative Support Coordinators for academic departments to assist with this transition.  APS will also be available for individual or group virtual walk-through sessions.

The campus will cease to use Interfolio for new recruitments as of April 2022. Recruitments still active as of April 2022 will remain in Interfolio to be finalized by November 2022. HR and APS will provide guidance on this transition later in 2022. Student recruitments and appointments will continue to be handled via the Handshake system.
