In addition to existing support for students, staff, and faculty to use a name other than their legal name, students can now also specify their preferred pronouns, which will show up on class rosters for faculty. PeopleSoft will populate multiple other systems used across campus over the coming months, and we will continue to work until all systems can use each member of the campus community’s preferred name and pronoun.

A preferred pronoun is one that an individual chooses for themself and wants others to use when talking to or about them. The pronoun options are he/him/his, she/her/hers, they/them, other, and prefer not to have listed.
