As part of HSU's ongoing efforts to prevent hackers from accessing our networks, we have added a safety check reminder to the myHumboldt login screen. Please take note of this reminder every time you log into myHumboldt:
Before entering your HSU Username and Password, verify that the URL for this page begins with https://cas.humboldt.edu.
You are also asked to note whether the correct time is shown on the login screen.
Why do we ask this?
One of the most common, and thus the most successful, ways hackers fool users is by presenting an almost-perfect replica of a familiar login screen which captures login credentials. Those login credentials are then used by hackers to access the network, and all the information on the network that user is authorized to access.
