Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I announce the selection of Daniel Gutstein as the new Director of Student Access Services (SAS) here at Humboldt State University.  Daniel comes to us from Washington D.C. to begin his appointment on August 10, 2018.

Daniel spent ten years at the Maryland Institute College of Art as Director of the Writing Studio and Learning Resource Center. In this role, he had the opportunity to work with students with disabilities to offer an array of disability support services, served on numerous committees that addressed issues of campus climate and student support for first-generation students. Daniel has held teaching positions at George Washington University, the Smithsonian Institution Campus as well as the Maryland Institute College of Art. Please join us in welcoming Daniel to SAS, HSU and our Humboldt community.
