Lumberjack Volleyball Announces This Year’s Recruiting Class

July 16, 2021

Humboldt State head volleyball coach Kelly Wood has announced this year’s recruiting class for the Lumberjacks in Jillian Fairchild, Anna Hospodar, Lindsay McLaughlin and Riley White.  These four will join the 17 returners from this past season.

“With a larger than average returning roster this year, we have a smaller than usual recruiting class coming in this Fall,” said Wood.  “I'm very optimistic about our incoming 2021 group of student-athletes. They are all exceptional young women with a large upside both athletically and academically, and I look forward to their arrival here in a couple more weeks. We're bringing in two new pin-hitters, one very versatile MB/OPP, and another setter to add to the depth and competition within our current group of returning players. We definitely head into the 2021 season with more depth than we've had in the past few seasons.  The dedication from the returners, and the excitement these newly recruited female student- athletes bring to the Jacks are the reason for our bright outlook towards 2021.”

The Lumberjacks will start training for the 2021 season in mid-August with their first regular season match set for September 10 at 10am in the Seawolf/Gator Classic in Rohnert Park, Calif.  Their home opener will be on Friday, September 24 at 5pm against Stanislaus State.
