Lumberjack Basketball Celebration Set for November 1
Don’t miss the first chance to meet the 2021-22 Humboldt State Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, when the Department of Athletics host the Lumberjack Basketball Tip-Off event on Monday, November 1st. The evening will be a preview of both programs upcoming CCAA conference campaigns and a sneak peak at Head Coach Tae Norwood’s inaugural season at HSU.
Arena doors will open at 6 pm, with the celebration beginning at 6:30 pm. Admission is free and open to the public; a limited number of special edition t-shirts will be available for Humboldt State students.
The action will include an introduction to both the men's and women's basketball teams, a 3-point shooting contest, a dunk competition, and a scrimmage. This will be followed by an opportunity for the crowd to get involved and win prizes as well as some HSU spirit festivities.
Prizes and giveaways include free T-shirts, gift cards to local businesses, the official Humboldt State Lumberjack SIDELINE merchandise store, and tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters’ game on January 18th.
Following the event, there will be a pizza giveaway for HSU students.
Per the Humboldt State visitor policy, all fans will be required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.
