Cal Poly Humboldt has piggybacked on a contract with the City of Arcata to extend the life of our roadway on LK Wood from 14th st. to Granite Avenue by applying a slurry seal to the road surface and applying new lane markings. 

 

The slurry seal application will take place on Saturday September 17th and should take the majority of the day. Traffic control will be in place with continuous traffic flow in the north and southbound lanes. There will be periods of time that Plaza avenue and Harpst street will not be accessible from LK Wood, however, campus will still be accessible from 14th and B st. as well as 14th and Union during these periods of time. Sidewalks along LK Wood will still be available throughout the process.
