Humboldt State Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams Named United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Recipients

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Once again, both the Humboldt State University men’s and women’s soccer team are the recipients of the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards.  Humboldt State University was one of 183 institutions that had both of their men's and women's soccer teams recognized as 2019-20 United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award Winner recipients as announced by the national office.
 
A total of 903 soccer teams (341 men, 562 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 academic year.
 
Last season, ten members of the Lumberjack men’s and women’s soccer team were recipients of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award for having at least a 3.50 grade point cumulative grade point average and have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work.  27 Lumberjacks were named to the CCAA All-Academic Team for posting a 3.40 or higher grade point average during the 2019-20 academic year.  HSU had 18 members of the men’s and women’s soccer team being named to the CCAA Fall Academic Team for posting a 3.30 grade point average and be at least a sophomore.
