Humboldt State’s Rosa Granados Named CCAA Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

Humboldt State women’s cross country runner Rosa Granados was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office this morning for the week of Sept. 13-19.

 Granados finished in first place at the Jim Hunt Invitational this past Saturday morning at Baywood Golf and Country Club in Arcata.  She ran a time of 23:14.99 to lead the ‘Jacks to a second-place finish at the rainy five-team invitational. 

 The Arroyo Grande native finished seconds ahead of second place finisher Faith Wideman of Oregon in the Lumberjacks’ first race since November of 2019. 

 Humboldt State will return to the course this Friday, September 24 in Monmouth, Ore., as the ‘Jacks will participate in the Mike Johnson Classic at the Ash Creek Preserve, the site of the 2021 NCAA Division II West Regional Championship.
