Guidelines to Implement CSU Print Policy

From: Marketing & Communications

HSU is implementing existing CSU policy with new guidelines for print services that go into effect July 1, 2018.

Under the new guidelines, production-level print and related work must be fulfilled through the Print Services unit within Marketing & Communications. If Print Services is unable to provide the service, or if it is not cost-effective to complete in-house, it will oversee outsourcing to vendors or provide an exemption to the department to outsource it.

Print Services provides high-volume, cost-effective, and sustainable reprographics services for the campus. Among its services are color and black & white printing, bindery & finishing, automated mail & inserting, and large format banners & displays. Print Services also has strong industry expertise and working relationships with multiple off-campus vendors.

The new guidelines are intended to help the University acquire cost-efficient and quality print products, uphold brand graphic standards, provide appropriate review when needed, ensure sustainability standards are followed, and meet standards related to trademarks.

Areas that do NOT fall within these guidelines include general office copying, the HSU Bookstore, ITS pay for print, and computer labs.

Read the guidelines.

To utilize Print Services, campus clients can use online ordering at humboldt.webdeskprint.com, email marcom@humboldt.edu, or visit Building 88. For more information, visit marcom.humboldt.edu or call 826-3321.
