Former Humboldt State Lumberjack Women's Basketball Standout, Madeline Hatch, Signs Professional Contract with Dobuss Cordoba Basket
Former Humboldt State Lumberjack women’s basketball player Madeline Hatch signed a professional basketball contract with Dobuss Cordoba Basket in Codoba, Spain. Dobuss Cordoba Basketball is a member of the Liga Nacional 1.
“I am so happy to be signing with Dobuss Cordoba Basket,” said Hatch. “During this wild year of COVID, I have such an appreciation for life and being able to do the things I love. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. Humboldt State University basketball gave me the experience and development that I needed to continue playing the game I love at the professional level.”
Hatch finished her career at Humboldt State with 148 three-point field goals made which is fifth all-time at HSU. During the 2019-20 season, she made 51 three-point field goals. Her 58 treys made during the 2018-19 season is tied for eighth on HSU's single season list. During her career, Hatch was named to the D2ADA Academic Achievement Team as well as the CCAA Winter All-Academic Team.

In her senior season, she averaged 8.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game while shooting 34.9% from three-point land 86.7% from the charity stripe. She also recorded 26 steals in 23 games. Her career highs at Humboldt State were 26 points (at Sonoma State November 23, 2018), six rebounds (versus Cal State San Bernardino February 16, 2019), five assists (twice), four steals (at Cal State East Bay January 17, 2019), eight field goals made (at Sonoma State November 23, 2018), eighth three-point field goals made (at Sonoma State November 23, 2018) and six free throws made (at Cal State Monterey Bay January 19, 2019).
