Fall Preview Saturday, Nov. 5

November 1, 2022

Greetings, Campus Community.

This week is exciting as we draw closer to this weekend's in-person Fall Preview on Saturday, Nov. 5, followed by a series of virtual activities scheduled for the following week to serve those unable to attend our in-person event. As of today, the University expects to host between 900 to 1,000 guests, approximately 600 prospective students.

A few areas to highlight that stand out in this year's event are:

  • The inaugural Transfer+ Bus brings various community colleges for an extended program similar to our Spring Preview bus for first-year students.

  • Working with our local high schools, we look forward to hosting 13 schools from our local area to bring students to campus for Fall Preview.

  • Each academic department will have its newly branded Cal Poly Humboldt tablecloth and a supply of academic major fact sheets.

We want to thank you in advance for all the support we have received across campus to provide facilities tours, engage families with quality content in the form of workshops, and integrate with other on-campus activities happening the same day.

It is an exciting opportunity for students to engage on what might be a rainy weekend. We are communicating with students and families to help them prepare, and we will have a supply of disposable rain ponchos for those who may have forgotten to bring their umbrellas.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend and having a tremendous time engaging with our guests. Visit our Fall Preview website for the agenda for the day. If you have additional questions, please feel free to email welcome@humboldt.edu
