On March 5, David Hickcox was appointed to serve as Interim Associate Vice President (AVP) for Human Resources. David has provided incredible leadership over the past fifteen months in rebuilding our Title IX and Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation (DHR) Office. While David is serving as Interim AVP for HR, Allan Ford will serve as the Interim Director of Title IX and DHR.  Allan’s appointment was effective March 15.

David is no stranger to the Office of Human Resources. Prior to taking the leadership role in Title IX and DHR, David worked for two years as the Human Resources Recruitment Manager, and worked closely with HR staff in the four years prior to this assignment, serving in staff positions in Information Technology Services and the College of Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences Dean’s Office.  Prior to HSU, David worked in the public sector full-time since 1993, and as an administrator on upper-level government agencies from 2003-2013.  His background and management and leadership skills will be a tremendous asset in leading the Office of Human Resources during a critical time. 

Likewise, Allan Ford is no stranger to Title IX/DHR. Prior to this appointment, Allan served as the Title IX Investigator on campus. Allan has a proven track record in developing, executing, and communicating Title IX processes via investigations and outcomes. Prior to joining HSU, Allan served as the Title IX and Compliance Coordinator at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.

The Office of Title IX and DHR will remain reporting to the Office of the President. In addition, clery duties will be overseen by Allan Ford and Nick Viso.
