Cybersecurity Alert: Watch for ClickFix Phishing Attacks
Cal Poly Humboldt Staff and Faculty,
We're reaching out because we've recently seen an increase in ClickFix phishing attacks targeting Cal Poly Humboldt staff and faculty.
These attacks use fake error messages or CAPTCHA prompts to trick you into copying and running malicious code on your computer. Legitimate websites will never ask you to copy and run system commands to verify your identity.
Please take a minute to review the attached flyer so you know what to look for. If you encounter one of these prompts or think you may have followed its instructions, contact the Information Security team immediately at help@humboldt.edu or 707-826-4357.
Thank you for helping keep our campus secure.
