COVID Related ADA Accommodations and Leave Option Updates
Return to Work for Employees needing ADA Accommodations related to COVID-19
- Employees who have concerns about returning to campus and/or identify a need for an accommodation should first contact Scott Kasper, PsyD, Director of Employee & Labor Relations at scott.kasper@humboldt.edu or call (707) 826-5176 to request reasonable accommodations before returning to campus.
- Employees requesting an ADA accommodation related to COVID-19 must have their doctor complete the COVID ADA Accommodation Form and submit directly to Scott Kasper at scott.kasper@humboldt.edu or by confidential fax at (707) 826-3625.
- COVID related ADA Accommodation requests will be managed through the normal disability interactive process with the employee and their Appropriate Administrator. Interactive meetings will continue to be facilitated by Scott Kasper.
COVID-19-Related Leave Options
In response to COVID-19, multiple leave options have been enacted to help employees who are affected by the pandemic. The language and provisions differ slightly, but the intent of the programs are the same—to provide paid leave to employees for COVID-19-related reasons. The Special Leave Options for COVID-19 – Comparison Chart has been updated for August 2020.
