Change in Leadership for Enrollment Management & Student Success

Eboni Ford Turnbow, who has served as Cal Poly Humboldt’s Dean of Students and as Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Success, is stepping down next month to take on a new role at CSU Channel Islands.

She will be CSUCI’s Vice President for Student Affairs.

Dr. Ford Turnbow has served at Cal Poly Humboldt since August 2019. During her time at Humboldt, Dr. Ford Turnbow led the area through the significant challenges of the pandemic, while also guiding significant changes and improvements. She has built partnerships with staff, administrators, and faculty across the University to contribute to increasing holistic student support efforts and services. She worked across divisions to create graduate assistantships, internships, student research opportunities, and professional/career development partnerships.

Under Dr. Ford Turnbow’s leadership, a number of high-impact student affairs practices have been developed, including creation of the Institutional Programming Model, Humboldt Orientation Program restructure, the Student Marketing Center, and more. There has been a significant expansion of student life programming and a more vibrant student experience on campus. This has included a reimagining of the Gutswurrak Student Activities Center and creation of a new unit to coordinate campus events.
