A student success dashboard was recently launched by the California State University (CSU) Chancellor’s Office. The CSU Student Success Dashboard (www.calstate.edu/dashboard ) has been developed to help faculty, staff and administrators better understand the problem of low graduation rates, diagnose contributing factors, and target responses based on these discoveries. Using the Dashboard, campus leaders can monitor on-track indicators and better understand not only which milestones students are failing to reach, but why they are not reaching them.   

Highlights from the dashboard include: 

· Analysis of student success by discipline (analysis by major coming soon).

· Predictive modeling designed to assist in determining which academic behaviors lead to successful and timely degree completion.

· Campus comparisons which can assist in establishing benchmarks and sharing exemplary practices.

· Retention and graduation rates of students participating in academic programs such as learning communities and first-year experiences (some campuses).

The goal of the Dashboard is to stimulate a conversation with data that will ultimately empower you to design teaching, program and/or policy changes to increase student success.

· Visit www.calstate.edu/dashboard.

· Log in using your campus credentials.

· The Dashboard displays best in the Firefox and Chrome browsers, but should work on others as well.  Currently, it will not work on an iPad.

· The Dashboard is organized into a set of reports, which are listed in a left navigation.  After selecting a report, you can navigate within that report by clicking the links at the top of the screen.

· If you have any comments or questions about the Dashboard, please submit them through the “Feedback” link in the lower left corner of the Dashboard.

· If you have trouble logging in with your campus credentials, please contact your local help desk for assistance. 

· If you experience other difficulties logging into the Dashboard, please contact iamadmin@calstate.edu for assistance.

In addition, you may access the newly developed Enrollment Management Dashboards at http://www2.humboldt.edu/irp/EMWG.html. The dashboards will provide you with current and historical information regarding applications, admits, and enrolled students as well as yield rates by academic departments. Moreover, the dashboards will provide you with student profile data at census
