Cal Poly Humboldt Workplace Violence Prevention Plan Training
Cal Poly Humboldt is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive working environment for all members of our community. Together, we can work towards preventing workplace violence and promoting the well-being of our faculty, staff, students, visitors and stakeholders.
The Cal Poly Humboldt Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP), in compliance with California Senate Bill 553, aims to enhance workplace safety and prevent violence. The CSU has developed two online training courses to provide an introduction to the elements of the plan, warning signs, types of workplace violence, preventative measures, and other resources. In addition, as part of the requirements, there will be campus specific training. These will be two new required courses for every employee.
On July 3,2024 employees received an email notification to register and attend these courses, with a completion date of August 2, 2024. These should be completed as soon as possible, but no later than December 31, 2024. If you did not receive an email, please go to your assigned learning in CSU Learn. This is also a great opportunity to complete other mandatory courses.
More information will be available at the Cal Poly Humboldt Workplace Violence Prevention Program webpage.
