Cal Poly Humboldt Women’s Crew Moves Up to Seventh in This Week’s Pocock/CRCA Coaches’ Poll
ARCATA, Calif.--- The Cal Poly Humboldt women’s crew team is moved up one spot to seventh in this week’s 2022 NCAA Division II Pocock CRCA Preseason Coaches’ Poll. This is the third straight week that the Lumberjacks have been ranked in the top eight in the nation.
The Jacks, under the guidance of head coach Matt Weise, received 62 points in this week’s poll. They are one of four teams from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) ranked in the top eight. The University of Central Oklahoma is first followed by Western Washington at fourth, Seattle Pacific at sixth and Cal Poly Humboldt at seventh.
The Lumberjacks coming off their own regatta which the Jacks captured the women’s varsity 4+ and the novice 4+. The Jacks also finished in first in the women’s 2x.
Humboldt returns to the water on April 9 when the Jacks compete in the Falcon Regatta at the L.W. Ship Canal in Seattle, Washington. The Jacks will compete against GNAC opponents, Seattle Pacific and Western Washington. The Falcon Regatta will begin at 8am.
