Cal Poly Humboldt Men’s Rugby’s Jason Uipi Named to National Collegiate Rugby All-American Team
Cal Poly Humboldt men’s rugby’s player Jason Uipi was named to the 2021 National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Men’s All-American Team that was announced earlier this week.
“Jason excelled during League competition in the fall and was an integral piece of the team’s success heading into playoffs,” said Cal Poly Humboldt Head Men’s Rugby Coach Greg Pargee. “He has been the glue in our front row now for three years and this honor to be selected as an All-American reflects his leadership on the team and passion for rugby.”
Uipi was named to the Small College All-American Team and was one of two hookers named to this year’s team.
Earlier this year, four Lumberjacks were selected to play in the National Collegiate Rugby All-Star Challenge in Dante Capellano and Isaac Khelo while Adrian Magana was an alternate.
