Cal Poly Humboldt’s Madison Parry Named to 2021-22 All-CCAA First Team

As announced by the office of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), Cal Poly Humboldt’s Madison Parry was named to the 2021-22 All-CCAA Women’s Basketball First Team as voted on by the league’s twelve head coaches.  Parry is the sixth All-CCAA First Team honoree during sixth-year head coach Michelle Bento-Jackson’s tenure at Cal Poly Humboldt.

 

Parry started in all 23 games this season for the Jacks while averaging a team high 15.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game she also led the way for Humboldt with her 28 steals, 23 blocked shots and 74.3% shooting from the free throw line. The freshman guard/forward was second on the team with her 44.6% shooting from the field.

 

The Newcastle, Calif., native recorded ten double-doubles this season with season highs of 23 points (at Cal Poly Pomona, Feb. 17, 2022), 18 rebounds (vs. Dominican, Nov. 27, 2021), four assists (at Chico State, Dec. 18, 2021), four blocked shots (vs. Cal State Dominguez Hills, Feb. 10, 2022) and three steals (vs. Cal State East Bay, Feb. 12, 2022).


Heading into the CCAA Basketball Championship Tournament, Parry is third in CCAA in scoring, second in rebounding, fifth in blocked shots and seventh in field goal percentage.
