The CSU annual Open Enrollment period for 2019 will be September 10, 2018 through October 5, 2018. Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to review and update your current benefits for the 2019 calendar year. You can enroll, change, or cancel CalPERS health, dental, vision plan or Flexcash, enroll for the first time or re-enroll in Dependent Care Reimbursement (DCRA), Health Care Reimbursement (HCRA) or voluntary benefit plans. The effective date for all changes/enrollments made during the Open Enrollment period will be January 1, 2019.

For 2019, the premiums will be increasing. Please carefully review the 2019 Health Premium Rate Sheet. The level of coverage for both Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans, benefits and network providers in Humboldt County are the same, and are facilitated through the Independent Practice Association (IPA) in Eureka; the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans are administered directly by Anthem Blue Cross.

CSU benefit eligible employees have the option to enroll into the VSP Premier Plan, which offers a higher allowance for frames and contacts, new glasses or contacts every calendar year, and more! Please remember that you have online access to your benefit enrollment information through your MyHumboldt Portal. You can review your health enrollments from anywhere, 24/7. Learn more about how to find your Benefits Summary here.

• To make any changes to your health or dental enrollments, or to re-enroll in your HCRA/DCRA plan(s), you can now use eBenefits. Please note that we cannot process your changes unless you have completed and returned to HR the the eSignature Authorization Form. Once logged into MyHumboldt, navigate to the “Benefits” tab under “My Profile” and click the Open Enrollment – eBenefits. Click the ‘Select’ button and follow prompts to make changes.

All open enrollment eBenefits changes must be submitted by 5pm, Friday, October 5, 2018. At this time, access to the eBenefits system will be closed.

Please plan to attend the annual Benefits Fair scheduled for Thursday, September 13, 9–11 a.m., in Goodwin Forum. HSU Benefits staff will be available during the Benefits Fair to answer questions.
