Dear HSU Community,

I am pleased to announce that Roger Wang has agreed to serve as the Assistant Dean of Students at the Office of the Dean of Students. Roger's appointment will begin July 1, 2019.

Roger brings a wealth of experience working in Residential Life and as an Advisor with the Educational Opportunity Program. Most recently, Roger has served as the Interim Assistant Dean of Students. In this role, Roger oversaw the student conduct process and worked closely with the Campus Assistance Response and Engagement (CARE) program to collaborate with campus partners to support student success. Roger's familiarity with student conduct, programming, residential life and advising skills will be an asset to our students and the Dean of Students team as a whole. 

Roger hails from San Jose and moved to Humboldt County as a student at Humboldt State University. He is a proud alum and holds a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Colorado State University. Please join me in congratulating Roger on his new role as Assistant Dean of Students.
