Are Your Spring Semester Courses Accessible To All Your Students?
Winter break is almost here and it's is the perfect opportunity to review your materials for next semester's classes to determine if they are accessible to all your students. The Accessible Resources Center (ARC) can help ensure all your course materials - PDFs, Word documents, videos, and more - are accessible to all your students.
ARC has an administrative role in Canvas, too, so they can easily enter your course and access your files there - you don't need to do anything. Once the materials are rendered accessible, they can be uploaded to Canvas. If you're not using Canvas, ARC can set up a shared Google Drive folder for you, so you can upload any documents you need to have processed.
Remember, you are required by law to provide accessible materials to all disabled students, and disabled students are not required to identify themselves to you. So please contact ARC at the numbers below to ensure your materials are accessible and compliant.
If you don't yet know what materials you will be using next semester, you can go ahead and submit any materials you choose. The sooner your materials are received, the sooner everything can be ready for your students.
If you have any questions, please call Reina at x3322 or Laurie at x4207.
