Are you still relying on HSU's Sophos Anti-Virus license?

April 25, 2014

If you've been taking advantage of HSU's free Sophos Anti-Virus protection for your personally owned computer, you should be aware that this license will expire in June 2014 and is not being renewed.

All HSU-owned computers are now protected by Microsoft System Center Endpoint protection, which is automatically kept up to date. However, this software cannot be used on personally owned computers, so you will need to choose a new anti-virus program - particularly if you ever connect your personally owned computer to HSU networks, as protection is a prerequisite for connection.

ITS publishes a list of approved anti-virus programs, with links to the websites where you can download the software, at http://www.humboldt.edu/its/wireless-antivirus
