Dear Campus Community,

The Division of Administrative Affairs is undergoing a restructuring in Financial Services.

Amber Blakeslee has been named the Executive Director of Finance & Budget. Amber’s role has expanded and she will now provide leadership for the overall financial operations of the campus. Amber will be responsible for overseeing all units in Financial Services, including Accounting, Student Financial Services, Contracts, Procurement,  Accounts Payable, Payroll, and University Budget.

Amber has 19 years of experience in budget and financial management, including the past 13 years at HSU. She joined HSU back in 2008 as a University Budget Analyst and was promoted to the University Budget Director role in 2014.

Amber is currently the chair of the CSU Budget Officers Association, co-leads the Polytechnic Implementation Working Group focused on Budget, Finance, and Reporting, serves on the GI 2025/Inclusive Student Success Working Group, is Finance Section Chief for the Emergency Operations Center, is an active member of the University Resources and Planning Committee and serves on various other committees and groups on campus and throughout the CSU.

Amber earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration-Finance from Loyola Marymount University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from CSU San Bernardino.

Amber continues to excel as a creative and thoughtful leader on campus and in the CSU and has been instrumental to HSU achieving financial stability and leading polytechnic financial planning efforts. I am excited to have Amber step into this role at such a transformational time for our campus.
