National Transfer Student Week is just around the corner!

National Transfer Student Week is an important opportunity for our campus to recognize the unique journeys, contributions and accomplishments of our Transfer Students.

This year’s theme is “Finding Your Way,” which draws inspiration from Humboldt’s migratory wildlife. Like our migratory animals, transfer students have traveled their own unique paths to Cal Poly Humboldt, where they gather resources, build community and develop new skills as they prepare for the next stage of their academic careers.

Throughout the week, students can participate in a variety of activities, including a visit to the local pumpkin patch, resources workshops, designing their own rubber ducky, student spotlights and more.

We invite Faculty and Staff to help us celebrate and showcase students by:

• Sharing National Transfer Student Week events in your classes and with students within your departments
• Encourage transfer students to attend activities and connect with other students
• Recognize and showcase your transfer students on social media this week and use the hashtag #TransferStudentWeek
• Invite your students, or nominate yourself if you are a transfer student, to be featured on our social media by submitting our Student Spotlight Form
• Join our Faculty & Staff workshop to learn how to support our transfer students, campus trends, and hear from a student panel

By celebrating together we can show our transfer students that they are seen, heard and valued.
